Mike McWilliams
Family Center
A COMMUNITY INITIATIVE
BY 31ST
The Mike McWilliams Family Center stands as a living tribute to the man whose name it bears. Mike McWilliams was more than a leader—he was a father, mentor, and visionary who poured his energy into shaping the lives of young men at 31st Street. As the founder of many of our athletic programs, he believed that sports were not only about competition but about building character, discipline, and brotherhood.
The Family Center now carries forward his legacy, serving as a vibrant hub for athletics, education, and family-centered programs. It is a place where faith, fellowship, and growth come together—honoring Mike’s lifelong commitment to empowering youth and strengthening families.

Family Fun Night
Family Fun Night was heavily influenced by Mike McWilliams as a joyful alternative to Halloween—one that honors our faith while celebrating community. What began as his vision to provide families with a safe, uplifting tradition has now become a cherished annual celebration at 31st Street.
Today, his son Richard McWilliams, along with Matthew Pyles, carries the torch, leading Family Fun Night with the same passion for fellowship, fun, and faith that his father instilled. Together with the church family, Richard and Matthew ensure that this event continues to bring games, food, and joy for all ages, while staying true to its purpose of strengthening families and honoring our beliefs. With plenty of candy and food it's a great time for fellowship and community.

Superbowl Party
The 31st Street Super Bowl Party is more than just a game day—it’s a tradition rooted in fellowship and family. First envisioned and influenced by Mike McWilliams, the event was created as a safe, faith-centered space where the church and community could come together to enjoy football, food, and fun.
Today, his son Richard McWilliams, along with Matthew Pyles, carries on this legacy as well, ensuring the Super Bowl Party continues to be a highlight of the year. With big screens, good food, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter, the event brings people of all ages together—building community in the spirit of joy and connection.
