Making ministry more personal by reaching outside of self to help others and build up the Kingdom of God.

Leaving our comfort Zone to make ministry more personal

~ Increase outreach activities

~ Mobilize the members to become disciples of Christ through “Evangeliving.”

~ Saturate our community with our presence fulfilling Matthew 24:14 which states:

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

The most important objective of health ministry is to help men and women reach their full potential, mentally, spiritually and physically. To reach full potential, health principles must be practiced, and the more closely these principle are followed, the better health the person enjoys. The health department aids in the promotion of the health concept within our church, and provides for the aid and assistance each Sabbath in the event of an emergency.

The Health & Learning Center is a non-profit organization of the church that provides various community outreach programs/services/events that includes reading and computer literacy programs, English as a Second Language sessions, and the use of exercise equipment to the church and community. The Health & Learning Center is responsible to report monthly activities to the Executive Church Board.

The Prison Ministry is an important outreach, and Health and Temperance is an integral part of the mission of the Adventist Church.

The regular visitations by the Sick & Shut-In Ministry and the persistent intercessory prayers of the Prayer Warriors are vital support mechanisms to our church family.

This department was organized to direct and train the laity to unite their efforts with the ministry and church officers in the final proclamation of the gospel of salvation in Christ. The aim of the department is to enlist every member into active soul-wining service for God. The Personal Ministries Department ministers in the areas of conducting bible studies; distribution of church literature, including Message Magazine; and administering to the sick and shut-in, bereaved, and the needy. The department assists in the development of missionary and evangelistic programs of the church, and aids in arranging territorial assignments and carrying out Conference ministry programs.

Within the church organizational structure, the ministries of Health and Temperance, Prison Ministry, Sick & Shut-In Ministry, and the Prayer Warrior Ministry function under the auspices of the Personal Ministries Department.
